| The city halls of the municipalities influenced by the undertaking have signed an agreement for the implementation of epidemiological surveillance activities |

Cemig has brought in a complementary aid to the epidemiological surveillance activities carried out in the municipalities influenced by the Irapé enterprise. Through agreements signed with the municipalities, Cemig has made viable the hiring of the professionals needed to carry out the activities, among which are the monitoring of the epidemiological control work and the registering of the number of incidences. A doctor hired by Cemig is coordinating these activities.
Up until March 2004, the agreements for Epidemiological Surveillance and Public Healthcare had been signed by the majority of the city halls within the Irapé project's area of influence. Besides those municipalities directly influenced (Berilo, José Gonçalves de Minas, Leme do Prado, Turmalina, Grão Mogol, Cristália and Botumirim), the municipalities of Josenópolis, Coronel Murta, Virgem da Lapa and Araçuaí have also been included in the project's area of influence.
